Living and Working in the UK

This section of the website assumes that you have already made your decision to come to the UK for postgraduate medical training and might already be in the country. There are a number of useful resources available for doctors who are new to UK medical practice.

The Department of Health's Medical Training in the United Kingdom; a Guide for International Graduates, is available on line and at all overseas British embassies and consulates, as well as in the UK through the British Council, and through Departments of Postgraduate Medical Education (PGMDEs) in each Deanery.

The British Medical Journal's An Updated Quick Guide to Working in the United Kingdom is a highly informative article for advice on working in the UK.
